Maryland
Home Inspection Services is one of the areas most widely respected names in the home
inspection industry. We have the experience and expertise to
accurately assess the condition of your property.
We provide all clients a professionally written and prepared
report after each inspection. We take great pride in the preparing
of each and every report. Our reports will include a
description of the property and inspected systems, structures, and
components of the dwelling, and shall identify material defects
observed. The typical home inspection takes anywhere from two to
four hours to complete.
You’re
invited to come along and watch as we inspect your property, and
you are free to ask any questions you may have at any time during
your home inspection.
Meet James
My
name is James Keilson and I am a Maryland state-licensed &
Certified Home Inspector and the president of Maryland Home
Inspection Services, Inc. I am a native of the Maryland area and a
1986 graduate of the University of Maryland. I have been working
in the residential building and remodeling industries for more
than 25 years. My background also includes commercial remodeling
and tenant fit-up work. I have extensive knowledge and experience
in the construction, design and build of both residential and
commercial electrical systems. I have passed all of the licensing
requirements imposed by the State of Maryland, including the
National Home Inspector Exam. I am a member in good standing of
the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors
(InterNACHI), and I am also a Certified Radon Inspector and a
member of the International
Association
of Certified Indoor Air Consultants (IAC2).
The
culmination of my education, hands-on skills and work experience
means that Maryland Home Inspections Services has a distinct edge
when it comes to inspecting both older homes and properties and
new-construction homes using the latest methods and technology.

Radon Testing:
Radon is the leading cause of lung
cancer in non-smokers. You cannot see, smell or taste radon.

radon levels. Don’t panic if the levels are high, there are ways
to fix the problem.
Mold
Testing
Mold grows indoors and
outdoors wherever there is a lot of moisture, but you can control
mold growth. There is
always some mold everywhere - in the air and on many surfaces.
